Mary Ehrin
If you followed me on my adventure to Denver last weekend you might have been just as surprised as I was to find that the city is absolutely overflowing with art! Between the world class museums and the insane number of great murals everywhere, Denver is a must for any art lover!

My Mile High experience was especially amazing because I had the pleasure of staying at the ART, a hotel, located in Denver’s Golden Triangle, merely steps away from the Denver Art Museum. The hotel houses an incredible collection and believe me, it lives up to its name: there. is. art. EVERYWHERE!

This piece by Mary Ehrin caught my eye as I researched which pieces I would match at the hotel. She uses metallic leather to transform river rocks into ginormous gold nuggets, which are a direct nod to the gold rush’s role in Colorado’s history. The pieces are larger than life and add a whimsical touch to their ground floor entrance!
