Museum Of Ice Cream
I had the chance to get a sneak peek of The Museum of Ice Cream Miami during Art Basel. What I love so much about the concept is that it encourages a level of interaction that goes beyond simply walking through an exhibition and “browsing” the work on display. This museum is interactive! The super enthusiastic staff are constantly offering you samples galore and for my insane sweet tooth, it’s basically heaven!
The design of the space is definitely inspired by the Art Deco architecture that Miami Beach is known for. Colorful buildings with clean lines and rounded motifs make up the Art Deco Historic district and many of these elements have found their way into MOIC. The museum itself spans several floors which are decorated thematically. Even the staircases are adorned with punchy murals – perfect for matching! Hurry up, the Miami exhibit will be closing in May and the final tickets can be purchased here.
