In For Penny, In For A Pound

I guess when a coffee shop becomes part of your daily routine, you’re considered a “regular” there! The awesome baristas at Temple Coffee on 22nd and K in Sacramento are always a delight to chat with in the morning and they always know what I want: “extra, extra, extra” ice in my iced Americano! Gotta have that ice, ice, baby!

Beyond the great people who work there and the awesome coffee, Temple is a visually stunning space that blends old and modern through the use of exposed tresses, brick, a floor covered in pennies, and trendy furnishings. The floor itself is a piece of art alone – it is comprised of 500,000 pennies: some new and shiny, others blackened from time. The result is beautiful and it is 100% match worthy.

I saw these flats from Anthropologie and first fell in love with their cute scalloped edge. They are really feminine and unique. That shape combined with the shimmery copper color had me sold! The ties can be styled so many different ways, making them versatile and a little more zhushed up than your average flat. Needless to say you know I proudly wore them to coffee this morning!

PSST! They are on sale, too!!
