One of the most memorable parts of our trip to Paris was lunch at Le Cinq, a 3 Michelin star restaurant at the Four Seasons George V hotel. For starters, the ambiance is whimsical with a capital W. It is simply gorgeous. The public areas of the hotel, including the dining room, are adorned with vibrant fresh flowers, and we were lucky enough to be surrounded by two of my favorites: peonies and orchids. While my other matches in Paris were definitely planned (here and here), this one wasn’t. It was almost comical entering the hotel lobby to find that I matched!
Turns out that wearing this dress was smart for more reasons than just the matchy-matchy color: it has an elastic waist (really came in handy after our main course haha!) and it travels well. Cherry on top is that it’s on MAJOR sale! PS the color in my picture is more accurate than in the thumbnail below, this dress is bright and beautiful!
The meal itself was decadent without being “too much.” Each dish was carefully and thoughtfully prepared. The attention to detail was unlike anything I have ever experienced – down to bringing out a special bottled water before our dessert (which was essentially three courses in of itself!!) in order to cleanse our palettes. I must have said “this is the best thing I have ever eaten” after every course. If you have the chance to dine at this amazing restaurant, it is 100% worth it.
